Toowoomba General Tourist Info

The City of Toowoomba is a contemporary provincial capital, boasting some impressive heritage edifices proudly combined with modern architecture, and offering a wide range of attractions, accommodation, dining options and exciting tours.
Situated around the edge of the Great Diving Range some 800 meters above sea level, Toowoomba is famous for its architecture and open spaces that overlook the Lockyer Valley. One of the city's famous vantage points is Picnic Point, from where one can explore the walks along the range escarp or just sit back, relax and enjoy the view.
Toowoomba truly is the Garden City of Queensland’s, boasting more than 150 public parks and lovely gardens. In spring, the gardens are magically full of color, and the city celebrates with its “Carnival of Flowers”, carried out each year in the last full week of September.
