Gold Coast General Tourist Info

Bronzed lifeguards, tanned tourists, high-rise apartment towers casting shadows over parts of the beach... the glitz, the glitter... Gold Coast is simply one of Australia's icons. The white sands here stretch for some seventy kilometers (43 miles), making up for the long strips of neon-lit motels and cheap souvenir shops. Since the fifty’s, Australians flocked on that coastline and that changed only with that they are now lining up with lots of tourists from around the world to get into the theme parks. However, everyone can still find some quiet spot on the beach.
The Gold Coast's theme parks are not as large and compound as Disneyland for example, but they are still exciting and entertaining enough. There are 3 major parks - Dreamworld, Warner Bros. Movie World, and Sea World, and lots of smaller ones as well. The area also features forty golf courses, numerous dinner cruises, and lots of adrenaline-full outdoor activities, from bungee jumping to jet-skiing. One of the best activities on the Gold Coast, although it is a natural kind and doesn't cost anything is just hitting the surf and lazing on the beach.
