The climate on the coastal parts is Mediterranean, while the one in the north is hotter. The days during the summer are hot and dry with mild nights. The winters are cool. The heaviest rainfall is during the period from May to August. The average rainfall is about 528mm, but most parts of the state don’t receive more than 250mm.
