Charters Towers Transportation
Traveling south west of Townsville, Charters Towers is some ninety minutes drive (around 130 kilometers) on the Flinders Highway. The city is very easily accessible by car, coach (which service daily from Townsville and Mount Isa) and there are also twice a week rail connections. Access routes to the city, via Hughenden to the Western parts, Greenvale to the Northern and Clermont to the South are good roads.
If you are not with own car here, transport services in the town for travelling around the city include rental car and taxis.
